Filling
- 4T. cornstarch
- 1 C. + 2 T. Sugar
- grated rind of one lemon
- 4 T. lemon juice
- 1 T. butter
- 3 egg yolkes
- 1 & 1/2 C. boiling water
Meringue
- 3 egg whites
- 6 T. Sugar
Filling
- Cook all together slowly until thick and then pour into already baked pie crust.
Meringue
- Beat egg whites till stiff, add sugar slowly beat until smooth.
- Cover pie and bake till the top is browned.
